Memories of Making Cookies
Most women (and maybe even some men, too) have memories of helping out when their mom was making chocolate chip cookies. Who didn't look forward to helping pour the ingredients in the bowl--especially the chocolate chips?! Maybe the best part of it all was eating the raw dough.
Nowadays, moms are concerned about giving their kids raw cookie dough because it has raw eggs. But think about it--when you ate raw cookie dough as a child, did you get sick? If you did, you must not have been too sick. After all, doesn't making chocolate chip cookies still evoke happy memories?
Perhaps what you thought was better than the dough was the finished product--warm and fresh from the oven, of course! And don't forget a glass of ice cold milk to wash the cookies down. To this day, it's hard to argue that there's any snack or treat that's better.
Today, monster chocolate chip cookies are gaining popularity. These have M&Ms on the top. Yet another reason your kids will want to help you make chocolate chip cookies. Got plans this weekend? Why not plan on making cookies yourself?
