Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Trying to make a blanket statement and say that "so and so makes the best chocolate chip cookies" is hard to do. Why? Because chocolate chip cookies are such a subjective thing. Some people think the best chocolate chip cookies are soft. Some think they are crispy. And still others think they are somewhere in between.

Monster Chocolate Chip Cookies

You may or may not be familiar with monster chocolate chip cookies. They are a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe with oats, M&Ms and sometimes even nuts. Again, some monster chocolate chip cookies are better than others. Here's a recipe for what we consider the best monster chocolate chip cookies. (Warning: This recipe makes a lot of cookies!)

Monster Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup butter or margarine

3 eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla

1 tablespoon corn syrup

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 1/2 cups peanut butter

4 1/2 cups quick cooking oatmeal

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup M&M's

1. Cream sugars and butter.

2. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.

3. Stir in corn syrup, then baking soda and peanut butter, then oatmeal, chocolate chips and M&M's.

4. Drop onto cookie sheet and flatten.

5. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.

Once you taste these cookies, you'll probably think they are hands down the best chocolate chip cookies you've ever had!
